The exhibition is co-produced by Langtou Rural Revitalization Project and the Paris-based Temple of Light. It uses the art of light and shadow to showcase the beauty of Chinese calligraphy and painting. The exhibition integrates art history and Lingnan's local culture, featuring the gentle spirit of Chinese aesthetics.

During the exhibition, which lasts for more than 20 minutes, the audience can immerse themselves in the show of light and appreciate more than 70 masterpieces of Chinese calligraphy and painting, including Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Xu ", Yan Zhenqing's "Draft of a Requiem to My Nephew", Su Dongpo's "The Cold Food Observance".

"This exhibition combines art, culture and philanthropy and is an example of successful cooperation between China and France," said Mr. Sylvain FOURRIERE, Consul General of France in Guangzhou. "On the eve of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, this is of great significance."

Langtou Ancient Village was built in the late South Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 700 years. It has a large-scale and well-preserved ancient building complex dating to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is rare in the Pearl River Delta region. The complex boasts more than 300 intact blue brick buildings. In 2014, Langtou Village was awarded the title of "Chinese Historical and Cultural Villages" and became one of the only two national-level historical villages in Guangzhou.
