Special tourism villages worth exploring in GZ

Do you enjoy fresh air and natural scenery in the countryside? Now there are six new special tourism villages in the suburbs of Guangzhou. Why not take a trip and enjoy yourselves there?

The Administration of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Guangzhou Municipality has on July 6 named Xihe Village（西和村）, Lianma Village（莲麻村）, Xitang Village（西塘村）, Dabuwei Village（大埔围村）, Hongshan Village（红山村）and Daling Village（大岭村）as the first six special tourism villages in the city. Favorable environmental conditions, convenient transportation and distinctive Lingnan rural characteristics constitute their special charm.

Located about nine kilometers from downtown Conghua, Xihe Village features Cantonese cuisine and ornamental flowers, especially the gorgeous roses.

Lianma Village is also situated in Conghua District. It mainly focuses on the development of green ecology and red tourism, a form of tourism focused on the Party's revolutionary history.

Xitang Village is about 13 kilometers from downtown Conghua, adjoining two highway entrances. It is famous for its paddy-field art and animation culture.

Dabuwei Village is located in the easternmost part of Guangzhou city, in Zengcheng District. It is characterized by its patriotism education and offers the visitors the chance to experience farming culture.

Hongshan Village is situated in Timian Town, Huadu District, only about four kilometers from the town centre. The village features rural landscapes and changing seasonal scenery.

Daling Village is located in Shilou Town and is about 15 kilometers from downtown Panyu. It is known for the ancient architecture with typical Lingnan characteristics.
