The WED Town (Green Valley) is the largest conference center in the north of Guangzhou, and also a comprehensive cultural industrial park focusing on design, technological innovation, culture and tourism, exhibition and so on. It aims toward a global ecological design center and "the capital of ecological design in China".
Sitting in the Liuxi Hot Spring Tourism Resort in the vicinity of Congdu International Conference Center and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Conghua Racecourse, the green valley is endowed with favorblae locations and enabling ecological environment. Prioritized and supported by provincial, municipal, district and township authorities, the first phase of the project has been completed after nearly three months’ construction, covering the entrance square and gate, the ecological design avenue, the permanent site of the World Eco-Design Conference, Wanqu Open University of Design and other supporting facilities. The successful opening of the first World Eco-Design Conference in the venue therefore indicated the miraculous speed of Conghua.
