The Expo Food Guangzhou 2020 will kick off at the Poly World Trade Expo Center (PWTC) between May 21st to May 23rd, 2020.
Covering an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, the fair will see about 1,800 exhibitors from 30 regions across China and more than 10 exhibitor delegations from Russia, Japan, the USA, Malaysia, Israel, Peru, Brazil, Ukraine, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is estimated that over 60,000 buyers from about 30 countries and regions will attend the event.

At the Expo, you will be able to see all kinds of exhibits and products, including meat and poultry, aquatic products, imported food, snacks, beverages and drinks, organic food, baked food, condiments, cooking equipment, and many others. You don’t want to miss out on the special agricultural products and ingredients from both China and abroad, such as liquor and alcoholic beverage, tea leaves and native products.
An area will be specially designed for the demonstration of high-end rice from China’s Jiling, Liaoning, Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia provinces as well as from the USA, Japan, Cambodia and Vietnam.
In addition, different kinds of theme activities will be held during the Expo, including rice forum, cooking competition, bakery exhibition and so on. The bakery exhibition will be held at the Canton Fair Complex right next to the PWTC Expo.The exhibition will cover 80,000 square meters and is estimated to see over 80,000 visitors.

Furthermore, the finals of the International Master Chef Competition will be on May 21st during the Expo along with a chef forum and a ceremony. The competition will be held in several cities across the country to enlist skilled chefs for the finals.
According to Dong Xiaoyu, General Manager of Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Company, master chefs good at different kinds of Chinese cuisines from all around the world will take part in the competition, aiming to promote Chinese food culture and cooperation in the catering industry. Michael Au, a renowned master chef and a judge of the competition, hopes more and more young people can join him to be a chef and boost the cooking culture in China.
