The Industrial Park Development Authority of Guangzhou Nansha New Area has welcomed two of the four people from the first batch of youth employees from Hong Kong and Macao on April 8, with the other two youths expected to begin their induction in May and July respectively.
It is expected that the bureau's act will become an excellent demonstration for youth talents communication among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao and lay a good foundation in talents cultivation for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
"I was very excited that I can participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area," said Hung Yat-hei, who was born and grew up in Hong Kong. Hung is one of the two employees who have started their induction in Nansha.
Hung has been majoring in economics and finance at Tsinghua University since 2014, as well as has organized and took part in many communication activities between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland on campus.
"Many students from Macao will choose to find jobs back in Macao, yet I want to get out of my comfort zone to grasp development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area," said Lau Ting-kam, a Macao student who graduated from Peking University.
