An economic and trade conference between Ghana and China was held from Aug 7 to 8 on Guangzhou's Ersha island, and featured discussions on innovating cooperation models in areas such as trade, economy, manufacturing, and education, all under the banner of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Attendees included Bao Zhigang, standing vice chairman of the Guangdong International Economy Association, Edward A Boateng, Ghana's ambassador to China, and Samuel Nsiah, the consul general of Ghana in Guangzhou.
Representatives from Chinese companies such as Born Group and Bioer Technology showcased their latest technologies and products and expressed their will to cooperate with Ghana.
Boateng noted that he hopes Ghana and China can push forward deeper cooperation between the two sides through innovation under the BRI.
