he 10th Guangzhou International Light Festival is set to light up the city starting November 18 and last through November 29, presenting stunning light shows to citizens.
The light festival is one of the three biggest in the world, along with that of Lyon, France and Sydney, Australia. First held in 2011, the event has been held for nine years, attracting more than 60 million global visitors. It plays an important role in boosting the city's nighttime economy and enhancing international cultural communication by bringing together lighting works from home and abroad.
As the light show enters its 10th year, lighting work displays and relevant forums will be held this year in addition to the annual light shows. Major bridges over the Pearl River will also be lit up to present magnificent night views to residents.
