On December 11th, the Portuguese wine & spirits B2B meeting was held in Guangzhou. Mr. André Cordeiro, Consul General of Portugal to Guangzhou delivered the opening speech.
Themed as: ‘Portugal, an experience’, the business match aims to bring wine buyers and importers in Guangdong together with Portuguese wine sellers to get them connected and establish business relations.
We are organizing this kind of event to bring business to business so as to enhance our trade with Guangzhou and Guangdong, which will certainly benefit the economic relations between China and Portugal as a whole, said Consul General Mr. Cordeiro.
The event was co-organized by Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou, AICEP Guangzhou, Wine2China and Guangdong Imported Food Association. Apart from wine and brandy, there are also other Portuguese products such as olive oil and cookies.
In 2019, Portugal’ s imports from Guangdong registered 690,7 million €, while its exports to Guangdong totaled 282,37 million €. The demand for imported wines, beers, spirits, and foods have increased due to recent economic boosts.
