"Our facial recognition system identifies and captures information of living people through optical technologies such as light spots and infrared projection, so its safety factor is higher than traditional ones," said Ms. Li, an employee from Shenzhen-based high-tech company Oebbec at the China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair 2021 (CBD Fair).
The CBD Fair 2021 was inaugurated on July 20 in Guangzhou. This is the first large-scale exhibition launched in Guangzhou after the city managed to defeat the resurgence of COVID-19, and many enterprises are eager to showcase their high-tech household products.
A newly-designed smart switch developed by Orvibo, a smart home company in Shenzhen, is ready to use only by replacing the original one without having to transform the circuits and debug. In addition, it is very convenient, according to the Tong Wei, the vice president of the company.
The total exhibition area of this year's CBD Fair is up to 400,000 square meters, an increase of nearly 100,000 square meters over last year. About 2,000 exhibitors participate in the Fair, an increase of over 400 over last year.
The Fair covers a variety of products related to home furnishing, including production equipment, accessories, whole house customization and smart home. CBD Fair will hold 99 activities featuring design, real estate, lifestyle and healthy living.
An exhibition entitled "Chinese Ideal Home" hosted by CBD Fair also kicked off on July 20 at Hall 1.2, Area A of the Canton Fair Complex. Nearly 100 participants including designers from enterprises in the fields of real estates, apartments, household supplies, artists, experts and scholars jointly attended to have in-depth exchanges.
