Officials, experts and industrial insiders from domestic and overseas institutions will gather to share their views about sustainable development in an age of global challenges at the International Forum's upcoming annual meeting, which will be held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province from Dec 3 to 5.
Shen Guofei, deputy secretary-general of the IFF Fund, said at a news briefing on Tuesday this year's meeting will center around the theme of competition, reform and cooperation, the three key words regarding sustainable development amid global challenges. Heads and representatives from multinational organizations, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, European Commission, the European Council and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, will join the meeting both online and in-person to share their views about a number of topics including global inflation, global tax reform, Sino-US relations and the global carbon pricing mechanism, China's goal of common prosperity and digital finance.
At the annual meeting, the IFF will also issue a report on global finance and development for 2021. The IFF Global Finance and Development Report will analyze the COVID-19 epidemic and monetary and fiscal policies from different governments to cope with it. The report will also make policy recommendations for tackling other global challenges.
