The first China-Mongolia freight train from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) set off from Guangzhou Dalang on March 22.
Carrying 82 containers of motorcycles, LCD televisions, tablets (mobile device) and household appliances, the train is supposed to arrive at Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, in 12 days.
It is worth noting that among the 82 containers, more than 50 of them are loaded with motorcycles made in Guangzhou. “As a vast and sparsely populated country, Mongolia has a great demand for motorbikes. And we can now achieve fast and reliable delivery with the launch of this new China-Europe freight train route, ”said person in charge of the Marketing Department of Guangzhou Dayun Motorcycle Co., Ltd. In the recent years, via China-Europe Railway Express, many enterprises within GBA have strengthened their trade ties with countries along the Belt and Road.
According to the latest statistic from Guangzhou Customs, there are currently 9 China-Europe freight train routes under its supervision, serving export and import trade with 30 countries and regions in the Western and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
Within the first two months this year, 21 China-Europe freight trains with exports have departed from Guangzhou Dalang, delivering 2100 containers of goods in total to countries along the route.
