The first batch of foreign investment service centers was set up by Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, Guangzhou Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, and Guangzhou Development District Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment.
It will provide foreign-invested enterprises with more convenient public services such as policy consultation, investment promotion, and respond to their appeals.
The establishment of the foreign investment service centers is an important measure to optimize the public service systems for foreign investment in Guangzhou. It will be jointly built in the mode of "city + district + park/industry" to gradually cover specific areas and sectors.
"The service centers can more accurately solve the demands of foreign-invested enterprises. Now there are increasing bio-pharmaceutical and intelligent manufacturing enterprises investing in Guangzhou, and the establishment of service centers will help the city to attract more high-tech enterprises," said Liu Ye, General Manager of CDCIC Group, an investment consultancy company based in Guangzhou.
On the same day, Guangzhou Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment signed a cooperation agreement with the Bank of China (Guangzhou Branch), to promote the application of digital RMB and to provide high-quality digital RMB payment and settlement services for foreign-invested enterprises.
A digital RMB experience area was set up at the signing site. Enterprises participating in the experience said that using digital RMB to conduct transactions is very convenient and takes no service charges, which will help to further reduce their settlement costs.
