Guangzhou to Shenzhen in 30 minutes! This railway will run undersea

Shenzhen-Jiangmen high-speed railway will support the building of the "30-minute living and economic circle" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and promote the coordinated development between the Pearl River Delta region and eastern and western Guangdong.

It is expected to open to traffic in 2025. By then, it will take only 30 minutes from Shenzhen to Guangzhou.
Launched in March, 2020, the railway project is 116.12 kilometers long, of which 69.2 kilometers are bridges and 45.1 kilometers are tunnels.
The tunnel project at the Pearl River Estuary descends to as low as 115 meters underwater, hitting a record of China's deepest undersea tunnel.
Currently, it is being steadily advanced by a super-large diameter shield tunneling machine tailored for the project.
When the tunnel is completed, it will take just 4 minutes to drive from Nanshan district of Guangzhou to Dongguan.
With a design speed of 250 km/h (200 km/h from Xili to Nansha), the railway starts from Xili Station in Shenzhen, and passes through Shenzhen Airport Station, Dongguan Binhai Bay Station, Nansha Station, Zhongshan North Station, Henglan Station and terminates at Jiangmen Station.
Passengers can transfer to Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway at Xili Station, to Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway and Guangzhou-Hong Kong High-speed Railway at Shenzhen Airport Station and to Jiangmen-Zhanjiang Railway at Jiangmen Station.
