Guangdong businesses fly to Malaysia to expand RCEP market

To help local companies have more contacts with foreign businesses, Guangdong launched an initiative “Cantonese Business Go Global” (CBGG), to attend overseas expos through chartered flights, facilitating cross-border entry, strengthening pandemic control and lower various costs.

Among the 79 businesses representatives from 47 Guangdong companies, Lee will attend the 4th Malaysia-China Trade Expo (MCTE 2022) to be held at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) from November 2 to November 4.

“This event is of great importance to help businesses get more orders from overseas market. We have already launched many publicity activities in Malaysia and there will be a lot of business matchmaking activities during the exhibition period”, said Ouyang Yun, director of Malaysia-China Trade Expo Committee.

The expo under the theme "From Guangdong to Malaysia" features a range of high-tech products in smart home furnishing materials, smart lighting, smart home appliances, and intelligent electronic devices.

“This is a very rare opportunity for my company to capitalize on the Southeast Asian market. We have contacted many Malaysian clients through online B2B platforms and invited some business partners from nearby countries like Thailand in advance”, said Zhao Xianmei, general manager of Bella (GZ) Intelligent Information Co., Ltd.

With the tremendous support from Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and China Southern Airlines, a chartered flight (CZ5255) was arranged for this trade delegation.

According to Zhou Jian, vice president of Network Planning, the Commercial Steering Committee of China Southern Airlines, the Committee immediately mobilized all the functional divisions, optimized charter flight plan, offered discounts for passenger and cargo services, in order to help enterprises to tap into foreign market while reducing travel costs.

The upcoming exhibition covers more than 10,000 square meters with 2 venues. Business chambers and associations will lead more than 10 globally competitive industrial clusters in GBA cities including Guangzhou, Foshan (Shunde District, Nanhai District), Dongguan, Zhongshan and Huizhou to display products made in Guangdong at No. 4 venue.
