On January 10, the "Liwan · Fengyuan Memory" Photography and Creation Exhibition officially commenced in Guangzhou's Liwan District. The exhibition, showcasing a vibrant collection of photographs, will run from January 10 until January 17.
The exhibition is divided into three sections -- "Name card of Fengyuan," "The Community's Beautiful Environment," and "Colorful Life." It focuses on the contemporary visage of Fengyuan Subdistrict, promoting the Lingnan cultural spirit. The displayed works offer multi-perspective and multi-layered depictions of Fengyuan's historic architecture, cultural landscapes, and natural scenery.
Capturing the dynamic vitality, the exquisite photographs document and display the historical changes, local customs, and cultural allure of the Liwan Fengyuan area.
These photographic works, created by professional photographers from the Liwan District Photographers Association in Guangzhou, delve deeply into the cultural significance and value of the Liwan Fengyuan area. Through their lenses, they capture moments of historical and cultural importance, presenting a visual feast for the residents.
"The changes in Fengyuan over the past few years have been tremendous, from the environment of the neighbourhood to the lives of the residents, and from economic development to cultural enhancement. Everywhere, we can feel our lives becoming happier," said a local resident at the exhibition, admiring the photographs and praising Fengyuan's rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as its rapidly evolving vibrant landscape.
Zhang Dengwen, Deputy Secretary of the Fengyuan Subdistrict Party Working Committee, said, "We hope this exhibition will arouse everyone's attention and love for local culture, and collectively carry forward and promote our excellent traditional culture, pushing for high-quality development in the region's cultural endeavors."

Fengyuan Subdistrict aims to deeply explore the essence and value of local culture, strengthen cultural innovation and brand building, and integrate cultural industries with other industries to make Fengyuan's cultural treasures shine even brighter," Zhang said.
Wu Lyuming, the event's curator, noted, "This is our first attempt to set up an exhibition in a community, creating a unique cultural and tourism landscape. This photography exhibition is a perfect combination of photographic art and the historical and cultural district, embodying our photographers' commitment to continually inherit and enhance the vitality of literature and art."
"It represents the depiction of life, singing about life, and giving back to life. It also signifies Fengyuan Subdistrict's use of local photographic resources to write a splendid new chapter of Fengyuan residents living in peace and contentment and enjoying a happy life," Wu pointed out.
