On January 16, the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) Hong Bao Art Exhibition officially kicked off in Guangzhou, showcasing the "culture of giving" and how it unites and strengthens communities.

Kevin Baker, principal of the AISG, introduces the highlights and the design story of each red envelope to attendees.

The exhibition is located in the public space of IFC, M Level in Zhujiang New Town and will last until January 19. All are welcome to enjoy the public exhibition and experience the “culture of giving” firsthand.

As a civilization dates back 5000 years, China boasts a rich and profound culture. In order to give foreign students a better understanding of the Chinese culture, AISG organizes the Hong Bao Campaign art creation activities every year and encourages students to decorate the red envelopes with Chinese cultural elements, such as the 12 Chinese zodiac animals.

This year, 228 artworks were submitted by students, alumni, faculty, and staff from over 15 different nationalities to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

The exhibition features AISG's six-year history and heritage of the Hong Bao Campaign and its inspiring artworks. Spectators can enjoy various themes such as the Year of the Dragon, the AISG campus, and traditional Chinese art. The artworks on display also show a wide range of talents, from young artists as young as three years old to adults who have been studying art and design for many years.
