2023 Nansha Fireworks Celebration on Lantern Festival
This year, one of the highlights of the Spring Festival activities in Nansha is undoubtedly a UVA performance featuring over 1,000 drones and a fireworks display held in Pearl Bay on February 24th, the night of the Lantern Festival.
Divided into five thematic chapters, the fireworks display will closely follow the theme of "Year of the Dragon" and "Greater Bay Area". and present the artistic charm of light and shadow in the sky full of fireworks, creating a grand artistic feast.
Throughout the Spring Festival, Nansha will organize four major cultural and tourism events:

Citizens can appreciate large lantern sculptures, visit ancient sailing boats with Lingnan characteristics, taste the special delicacies of the water town, experience the traditional folk customs of Nansha, take a dragon boat ride on the Jiaomen River, enjoy the ancient market on the water, watch the lanterns, and appreciate the intangible cultural heritage.
2. "A Lantern Tour in Paddy Fields" event

With the theme of "Modern Agriculture", more than 30 lantern viewing spots are set up in the Nansha Modern Urban Agriculture Experimental Park, illuminating the entire scenic area. There are both cute animal-themed pet parks and fruit and vegetable-themed plant parks. At the same time, interactive experiences such as farming and traditional festive performances are incorporated to allow citizens to feel the charm of traditional culture while strolling through the park.
3. Nansha Wetland's "Lucky 'Heron' and Soaring 'Stork' Welcomes the New Year" event

Centered around the ecological culture of wetland and incorporating the characteristics of bird watching, eight Spring Festival activities will be organized, including Tanka Market, lantern riddles, and performances by traditional Chinese music bands. The wetland also has a four-kilometer walking route, allowing citizens to enjoy walking while watching the sea and birds.
4. Nansha Tianhou Palace's "Auspicious Dragon Presents Blessings to New Year" event

Consisting of activities such as lion and dragon dance performance, Mazu intangible cultural heritage experience, and themed light shows, the event will bring a different night of Nansha Tianhou Palace to citizens through the Mazu-themed light show and AR night tour experience.
At the same time, towns and streets in Nansha will also organize cultural activities to benefit the people, such as New Year concerts, art exhibitions, and bringing traditional Chinese opera performances to the countryside. Special consumer-oriented events will also be launched, providing citizens with various Nansha specialities.
