Projects worth over USD 3.1 billion signed at Guangdong-ASEAN exchange conference

Projects with a total value of over USD 3.1 billion were signed at the 2025 China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Trade Promotion and Supply Chain Cooperation Mechanism Development Coordination and Exchange Conference held on June 10 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.


The event facilitated the signing of seven cooperation projects, including an investment collaboration in an Indonesian coal mine between Guangdong Import & Export Co., Ltd. and Qinfa Group, as well as a strategic partnership between Guangdong Tourism Holding Group Co., Ltd. and NEW HUA SHENG 2022 CO., LTD. The total value of these projects exceeded USD 3.1 billion.

During the conference, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee (CCPIT Guangdong) signed a memorandum of cooperation with business organizations from ASEAN countries. So far, CCPIT Guangdong has established long-term cooperation agreements with 30 counterpart institutions and business associations in ASEAN countries.

CCPIT Guangdong stated that it would collaborate with all parties to fully leverage their respective resources and channels, building platforms and exploring potential for cooperation between Guangdong and various parties in fields such as economy, trade, science and technology, culture, education, and tourism.

The China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Enterprises International Supply Chain Cooperation Alliance was also established at the conference. Through mechanisms like regular exchanges, information sharing, major project cooperation, exhibition services, and commercial legal services, the alliance will focus on international cooperation in advanced manufacturing, green agriculture, international commerce, and other sectors, aiming to promote steady and long-term economic and trade cooperation between Guangdong and ASEAN.

The China-ASEAN Business Council Guangdong Liaison Office was officially unveiled at the event, with the aim of further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with trade and investment promotion agencies and counterpart business associations in ASEAN countries.

Five Overseas Guangdong Trade and Investment Service Centers in Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam were officially established. Leveraging the economic and trade representative offices of Guangdong Province in ASEAN countries and the Guangdong Chambers of Commerce in those countries, these service centers are committed to expanding channels for external exchanges.

In the afternoon of the same day, two parallel sessions, including the 2025 China (Guangdong)-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference and the China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Cross-border E-commerce Exchange Meeting, were held.

Nearly 200 overseas guests, including government officials, leaders from international organizations and business institutions, as well as representatives from overseas Chinese and business communities, attended the conference, along with over 600 domestic guests from Guangdong's state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and key industrial parks.
