Online French culture festival launched on Tencent video

Between June 5th and July 16th, lovers of art and French culture from across the world will be able to watch videos touching on works of art, and the artists behind them during the French Waves art festival.


The videos will be posted on Tencent video's art channel, one of China's most popular video streaming sites, and you can watch them for free online for seven days after release.


Here are some highlights that the online art festival will touch on: the Avignon Festival, Marseille National Ballet-(La) Horde, Museum of Modern Art Palais de Tokyo, French Actor's Spring Theatre Festival, The Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and Paris Fashion Week.


You will get to know a lot more about some world-renowned artists through watching the stream, including the director of Avignon Theater Festival Olivier Py, members of La Horde, the great French photographer Sabine Weiss, and French director Jean Bellorini.

Tencent's Art Channel was launched in September 2018 and has established partnerships with dozens of top performing arts institutions worldwide, including the Royal Opera House, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, National Centre for the Performing Arts of China, and Shanghai Grand Theatre. Audience members can watch high quality videos of concerts, dance, opera, musicals and more from around the world via live stream or on-demand from the channel's back catalogue.
