Guangdong overcome Tianjin 3-2 to settle in 9th place in Chinese men's volleyball League.
Guangdong overcame Tianjin 3-2 in the finals to get the ninth place of the Chinese men's volleyball League here on Sunday.
Tianjin won the first two sets 25-22 and 25-23 but Guangdong then pulled two sets back with 25-19 and 25-22.
The last set saw both sides trade their leads until tying at 13-13. Tianjin's two turnovers in serving in the last stage gifted Guangdong a victory and the ninth place in this season.
Later on Sunday, Hebei defeated Hubei 3-1 (32-34, 25-16, 25-20, 30-28) to claim the 11th place. Hubei are ranked 12th after the loss.
Hebei's Wen Zihua took the game's high 39 points out of 76 attempts. Hubei's Lin Haikun converted the second highest 24 points from 59 attempts.
