Guangdong to improve business environment through further policy decisions

Guangdong’s new regulation on improving business environment will take effect on July 1, and supporting policies are under consideration and will be issued in the second half of the year.

That was announced at a press conference held by the province’s legislature on June 8. During the conference, the newly-released regulation to further improve business environment was introduced in detail.
It is highly necessary to set down a regulation that’s not only in line with the reality but also can keep improving the business environment in the province, authorities from the Provincial People’s Congress said.
With regards to the incentive policies in the regulation, Guangdong will conduct pilot trials at first and then expand the coverage gradually. Cities in the province will be encouraged to explore in line with the local realities.
According to the press conference, the regulation will become an important part in evaluating the province’s business environment. While combining the latest business environment evaluation system and method in the world, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission will organize annual business environment assessment across the local cities and supervise the implementation of the regulation by local authorities in earnest.
In the meantime, special campaigns will be launched to tackle the difficulties faced by businesses and the general public so as to remove obstacles and hidden barriers.
