A roadshow of the first China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Guangdong's Guangzhou City on July 19, aiming to attract local enterprises to participate in the Expo.

20 Guangdong enterprises signed contracts with China International Exhibition Center Group Limited (CIEC Group) at the event and registered for the first CISCE.

According to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the first CISCE will be held in Beijing from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2 and have a planned exhibition area of over 100 thousand square meters, themed "Connecting the World for a Shared Future".

The CISCE will feature supply chains of five industries, including smart vehicles, green agriculture, clean energy, digital technology, and health. The modern logistics sector will also be exhibited.

Ren Hongbin, Head of CCPIT, said that CISCE will be the world's first-ever national-level exhibition dedicated to supply chains. It aims to promote the stable and unimpeded functioning of the industrial and supply chains for economic growth.

Wu Shengrong, Head of the Department of Exhibition Management of CCPIT, said that the Expo is an open and international platform for upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises, including both large enterprises and SMEs.

"The expo promotes collaboration between industries, academic institutions, and research institutions, and facilitates interactions between Chinese and foreign enterprises," said Wu.

Zhang Yurun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Government, said that Guangdong is a powerhouse of manufacturing with a complete industrial system and a large number of supply chain companies.

"It is necessary and advantageous for Guangdong enterprises to expand the global layout, integrate into the global cooperation system, and promote the upgrade of industrial chains by participating in the expo," said Zhang.

According to the CCPIT, about 300 leading enterprises will be invited to exhibit at the CISCE, including world-renowned multinational enterprises from over 30 countries and regions. The proportion of international exhibitors is expected to exceed 30 percent. The number of professional buyers and visitors is expected to exceed 100 thousand, over 40 percent of which are international buyers from more than 50 countries and regions.
