On November 18, the 6th China Education Innovation Expo opened at Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangdong Province, with the theme of “Together, Sharing & Innovation - High-quality Development of Education”.
Initiated by Beijing Normal University in 2015 and has been successfully held for five sessions in Zhuhai since 2018, the expo has become an important platform to comprehensively serve the national strategies and promote the high-quality development of education, a gathering place for educational innovations, a big classroom for teacher education, and an accelerator for cross-border exchange and collision of ideas.
The expo has attracted luminaries, including Wang Guangqian, the Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic League and the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zheng Quanshui, the Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, a professor of Tsinghua University and the Founding President of Shenzhen “01” College, and Mo Yan, a Nobel Prize winner and a professor of Beijing Normal University.
The expo is scheduled to last for 3.5 days and focus on six major aspects of “Education Quality & Balance, Education Governance Modernization, New Curriculum Reform, Teacher Team Construction in the New Era, Education Digitalization and Education Quality Evaluation”.
Over 100 themed forums and brand events will be held in the form of exhibitions, conferences, and forums. Additionally, there will be over 1,100 workshops and 5 large exhibition halls set up to showcase over 2,200 outstanding educational innovation achievements from both domestic and international sources. Furthermore, there will be special theme exhibition areas dedicated to SERVE Award achievements, science education, family education, program learning, future design, future media, digital literacy, and other related fields.
The expo can be available via online picture and video broadcasts through the one-stop “Cloud-based expo Platform”.
The expo is sponsored by Beijing Normal University, guided academically by the Chinese Society of Education, and organized jointly by the Guangdong Committee of China Democratic League and the Zhuhai Education Bureau.
