On December 14, the annual "HONOR Talents" Art Exhibition, titled "Tech Meets Art, Inspire the Future", was held beside the Canton Tower in Guangzhou.

Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou, Suraya Pauzi, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, Jasmin Gong, Co-founder of InterCulture, delivered speeches at the event. Delegates from over ten countries, as well as representatives from various sectors attended the event, collectively witnessing the beautiful synergy of art and technology.

The exhibition, initiated by HONOR, a leading global provider of smart devices headquartered in Shenzhen, was divided into three sections, named "Renewal of Life·Return", "Cultural Prosperity·Celebration", and "Genesis·The Future". It presented HONOR's exploration of nature, the inheritance of traditional culture and art, and the attention to cutting-edge technology and expression.

Founded in 2020, HONOR Talents Global Design Awards is targeted to support, empower, and incubate more creative talent. In the four completed contests, it has attracted over 25,000 contributions from 240 universities in over 47 countries and regions.

Overseas divisions have also been established in Malaysia, Latin America, and other regions. Among them, Malaysia is the most active overseas region to participate in the contest this year, with a total of 509 entries, of which six have won global awards. Suraya Pauzi acknowledged HONOR's continuous investment in youth empowerment during the activity. She looked forward to seeing more Malaysian students showcase their talents and promote multicultural exchanges in the future.

Italy is the most active region in Europe this year, with a total of 17 entries and two winners of the global awards. Valerio De Parolis said that enhancing international talents of young generations in the fields of arts and crafts is confirmed as a good practice, not only because it helps to develop their strategic and multidisciplinary skills and strengthen their sense of social responsibility, but also creates the ideal space for the exchange and mutual beneficial "contamination" of ideas between different cultures.

Jasmin Gong stressed that art and technology are two inseparable parts with blurry boundaries, and both play the role of a bridge or a bond in our lives. "In the future, we should continue to pay attention to the sustainable development of these two fields and provide a stage for the growth of young people."

This year's competition encourages young people to use artificial intelligence software for artistic creation. It is the first design competition in the intelligent terminal industry to introduce AIGC artworks. A total of 253 submissions have been received.

In 2024, HONOR Talents will continue to develop overseas divisions in collaboration with more universities and provide opportunities for young people to exchange and innovate in technology and art.

The event was jointly organized by InterCulture and the Intellisia Research Institute.
