The 31st Guangzhou Garden Expo, as the earliest and biggest garden event this spring, will be held from February 4 to 25, ranging from the Beginning of Spring to the Lantern Festival.
This year's Garden Expo takes Violet as the theme. The main venue of the Expo is located on Baiyun Mountain, and the sub-venues are set up in Guangzhou Children's Park, Lanpu Park, and Liuhua Lake Park.
From the west gate of Baiyun Mountain to the Pearl Tower (明珠楼), there will be a 2,500-meter-long flower road, decorated with dragon-themed gardening installations. Residents and tourists can collect blessings and welcome good luck of the Lunar New Year on the way up the mountain. Peach blossoms, plum blossoms, and orange trumpet vines in the scenic area will also be in full bloom.
A bamboo competition for college students will also be held during the Expo to bring to the public six sets of bamboo works Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, and China, presenting visitors with a unique and exotic New Year's vibe.
To make it easier for Guangzhou residents to purchase new year flowers, three flower markets will be launched during the Garden Expo. The Baiyun Mountain Pearl Tower Flower Market will display and sell various rare and famous flowers cultivated in Guangzhou. The Yuntai Garden Flower Market will exhibit 100,000 budding tulips, allowing tourists to enjoy the sea of flowers and bring home spring.
Guangzhou Children's Park flower market will take "the best gift" as the theme and arrange special activities that integrate flowers, cultural creation, games, and DIY, so that parents and children can enhance interaction and intimacy in an aesthetic experience.
