Promotion Conference of the 7th CIIE (Australia)

Last Tuesday, Mr. Tony Zhang, Vice-Chair of AustCham Shanghai, participated in the Promotion Conference of the 7th China International Import Expo (Australia) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney.



Over 100 Australian companies, including members of AustCham Shanghai, attended the event. Wang Chunsheng, Acting Consul General of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney, expressed in his speech that the Expo is a significant initiative by China to open its market to the world. This highlights China's unwavering commitment to fostering a high level of openness and constructing an open global economy. Australian businesspeople were encouraged to actively engage in the event to tap into the Chinese market and capitalize on development opportunities.


Mr. Ning Feng, President of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), delivered a keynote speech introducing the 7th China International Import Expo. He stated, "We are willing to collaborate with all sectors in Australia to assist more Australian enterprises in entering the Chinese market, achieving substantial outcomes, and collectively crafting the 'CIIE Story' of openness, cooperation, innovation, and mutual benefit!" Representatives from the Commonwealth of Australia and the NSW Government also attended the event and delivered speeches.


The 7th China International Import Expo is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from November 5-10, 2024, covering an expansive exhibition area of more than 360,000 square meters.

AustCham Shanghai has consistently organized supplementary activities in Shanghai during previous CIIEs to support member exhibitors in exploring business opportunities and enhancing their visibility in China.
