A total of 980 million yuan (about 135 million U.S. dollars) worth of transactions were completed at the 32nd National Book Expo, which concluded Monday in Jinan, east China's Shandong Province.
The 4-day book expo, attended by more than 1,700 publishers from across the country, showcased over 810,000 publications of various types. More than 1,000 activities were held during the event, attracting 1.16 million readers.
Books on traditional Chinese culture and hot topics, as well as children's books were among the most popular publications at the expo.
