The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) Financial Services Exhibition is scheduled to take place from Sept. 12 to 16 at Shougang Park in Beijing. This year's event will bring together 104 financial institutions and enterprises from both China and abroad, including 50 foreign-funded institutions.

Wang Ying, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation and Supervision, said that the exhibition will cover an area of over 14,000 square meters. It will focus on five key areas: fintech, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance.

Through a variety of financial application cases, the exhibition aims to showcase innovative products and services that contribute to the development of the real economy, address critical sectors, and support key aspects of economic growth, Wang said.

A total of 207 organizations are participating both online and offline, including 67 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders. Among them, 103 are online exhibitors, while 104 are participating on-site.

As this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development national strategy, the exhibition will host a series of activities focusing on financial support for this regional collaboration.

The three regions will jointly hold a press conference and sign a cooperation framework agreement, alongside over a dozen financial institutions.

One of the highlights of past Financial Services Exhibitions has been the engaging interactive experiences. This year, the "Digital RMB Avenue" will be upgraded to the "Hi Fun" Digital Currency Market.

The market will be divided into two sections - the Digital Currency Showcase and the Digital Currency Entertainment Experience Zone. The Showcase will highlight the application of digital RMB across various sectors, including corporate transactions, cross-border trade, and public services. Meanwhile, the Entertainment Zone will offer attendees a dynamic and immersive experience, featuring trendy entertainment options and the latest in technology.
