Under the organization of the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, two major cross-border e-commerce industrial parks and ten high-quality enterprises within the cooperation zone participated in the 2024 China Cross-Border E-commerce Fair. The fair kicked off on August 16 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

The cooperation zone set up a 180-square-meter "Hengqin Pavilion" to demonstrate the innovative models and dynamic growth of Hengqin's cross-border e-commerce industry. Through interactive experiences and multimedia displays, visitors could directly witness the progress of Hengqin's cross-border e-commerce enterprises in areas such as market expansion, brand internationalization, and technological innovation.

During the three-day event, representatives from the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin introduced policies released this year, including up to 150 million yuan in incentives for recognized cross-border e-commerce demonstration parks and a maximum reward of 4.1 million yuan for encouraging the establishment of live-streaming e-commerce bases. Leading companies establishing wholly-owned subsidiaries in the cooperation zone could receive a one-time settlement reward of up to 20 million yuan. In addition, there are various financial subsidies available for e-commerce talent, covering housing, training, and more.

As of now, Hengqin has engaged with over 280 cross-border e-commerce enterprises, with nearly 100 expressing interest in settling in Hengqin. The two existing Huafa & Hengqin Novotown cross-border e-commerce industrial parks have already attracted dozens of Macao-funded e-commerce enterprises. Moreover, the Macao Youth Internet Training Incubation Base was officially launched on July 24, with the first batch of 100 trainees completing their training.
