Dina Grozdanovic Postolka, the project manager for Interliber, has emphasized that the 46th Interliber international book fair of Croatia that concludes Sunday is committed to fostering international partnerships.

In an interview with Xinhua on Saturday, Postolka said the book fair this year hosted a group of Chinese publishers who came to exchange books and contacts with their Croatian counterparts while exploring opportunities for future cooperation.

Postolka recalled that Chinese publishers first participated in the fair nearly a decade ago and expressed her intention to invite more in the coming years.

The China International Book Trading Group Co., Ltd. and 14 publishing houses participated in the Interliber, Croatia's largest and most prominent book fair that runs from Nov. 12 through Nov. 17.

At the opening ceremony on Tuesday, Chinese Ambassador Qi Qianjin encouraged the Chinese companies to deepen their promotional efforts and collaboration in Croatia to bolster bilateral friendship and cooperation.

According to Postolka, this year's Interliber is the largest and longest-running international book fair in Croatia and is "getting bigger every year."

With over 13,000 square meters of exhibition space, the fair has drawn more than 300 exhibitors and thousands of visitors from Croatia and abroad.

The fair also offered a wide range of activities, including professional conferences, panel discussions, award ceremonies, lectures, children's performances, musical acts, and book promotions.

Held under the patronage of the City of Zagreb and the Croatian Ministry of Culture, the fair "is more than just a book fair; It is about promoting culture," Postolka said.
