A three-day exhibition showcasing domestic products has opened in Charikar, the capital of Afghanistan's eastern Parwan province, according to local officials.
The exhibition featured a range of Afghan-made goods, including agricultural products, handicrafts, food items, and locally manufactured goods, said Sayeed Emal Nikmal Agha, provincial director of industry and commerce.
The event aimed to promote local products and support small businesses, Agha noted, adding that the Afghan interim government remains committed to empowering local enterprises and encouraging self-sufficiency among communities.
The initiative was part of the government's broader strategy to strengthen domestic industries and reduce dependence on imported goods. Similar fairs were organized across the country to highlight Afghan craftsmanship and entrepreneurial potentials.
